Too many of you are complaining for the wrong reasons. NBC is not totally at fault for cancelling the show. This show is not getting enough viewership from its regular programming on Thursdays. Yes, the network keeps track of online and tv views. Unfortunately, online views do NOT count toward the Nielson Ratings. Also, and many of you have already mentioned, this is a show that needs to be followed from week to week. If you don't, you will likely be confused and be left with many questions. I can name several other shows that are being cancelled for the same reason. The time slot doesn't help either, especially if you check who's actually watching(based on the demographics). In the age of TiVo, hulu, Netflix, etc..., we watch when we can. But for those who have unlimited time on their hands, will normally watch shows that provide instant gratification(for example, reality shows and comedies). This helps their Nielson Ratings and end up getting renewed whether we like it or not. Therefore, sophisticated shows or drawn out episodes do not get the attention that they deserve. Sure, NBC could put the show on at a better time slot but they would go against other shows on different networks. Its almost a catch 22.
