Awake

I love the impossibility of this show. I love how things become known in alternate realities. I love the difference in video filters in alternate realities - (It makes it easier to keep track.) I very much enjoy this show, but it won't be long before it's hard to maintain, so I understand the cancellation. Dead people in one reality alive in the other reality are fine for wife and son, but now there is a grandchild, a partner, a bad cop ... it might get too hard to keep the balance. I agree with whoever said this would be a great miniseries format, like MISSING, but the finale ... I'm sorry, but I don't want to see resolution of which is the real reality. I like them both being real. I think if they can finish it without a ridiculous cliff hanger that a lot of cancelled shows end up with, I'll be satisfied. HOW IT SHOULD END: Bad "nice" chief lady needs to be brought down, probably killed in the exchange, other bad "jerk" chief gets arrested and sent to Sing Sing, and the catalyst-accident becomes a solved murder, and then Britton goes to sleep with a smile on his face and has a DREAM DREAM of his son holding his newborn baby and all LIVING TOGETHER happily ever after.) Works for me. Oh yeah, and the rubber-bands should be linked together on the nightstand with a picture of the Brittons, the girl friend, and the baby in a sweet, happy family photo ... scene fades. =)
