You know I find Andy Richter to be rather annoying so I avoded watching this show. Big mistake! He's not annoying at all in this. He's very funny! So is Tony Hale who played Buster in Arrested Development.
This show makes fun of some of most famous murder mystery movies demonstrating how cliche these plots have become. This toungue in cheek approach makes them fresh and new all over again.
Great directing and sound track which is reminiscent of Barry Sonnenfeld's work in "Pushing Daisies" (2007).
Very fun to watch. It's a shame it got cancelled right when it seemed like it was catching a stride. You know it usually takes at least a season for a show to discover it's style. Networks really should keep this in mind and give things a chance to mature. As soon as the bottom line becomes the bottom line to a company it loses all sense of artistic direction. Art cannot coexist with a focus on immediate quarterly returns. They are diametricly opposed.
Conan O'brian was the executive Producer if they didn't have faith in him improving the show (ratings) then they don't have a clue.
