Kevin Skinner is the winner and should be. He was my choice from the begining. GOOD FOR YOU KEVIN.

You know, not EVERYONE watched this on t.v. Many of us simply watch our shows on HULU or other online players. SO, it would have been NICE for the "reviewers" to not mention the name of who won and or who lost./ Now, to the show; I liked it, but, I think it could've easily been a one-hour show. I surely could've done without Shaqira (and I used to like her) and Rascal Flats. I mean, yeah; they are okay, but not really for this show. The opening act was wonderful, imo! Still, bringing down to five and then to one was kind of silly.. Why not do as they did the rest of the season and eliminate one or two at a time... there would have been more suspense, IMO...
And, YES, I am glad that the act who could've and should've won DID. See? I said I was happy about the winner--- but I did not note the NAME of the act. The others, I think, will have jobs in entertainment, if they want them. In fact, some acts COULD get together and make a fantastic show! Looking forward to another season.. BUT, at the finale; PLEASE do not bring back the worst acts of the year, okay? THAT was certainly not worth watching- and I ff'd through most of it!

Alright, all this skinner bashing has got to stop. Face it, the most unique individual up there won, and unique sells. I think Skinner and Torres were the most unique acts and should have come in first and second, perspectively. Grandma Lee was great too....her last act was kinda stale though. Yes, skinner didn't have a great flawless performance every time like Padilla, but take it from someone who graduated with a degree in music performance, there are hundreds of Barbara Padillas out there but not many Kevin Skinners. I also think that America wanted a fairytale ending this time, and having skinner as the winner was the best fairytale ending of all. Padilla will go on to get offers all over the place and will probably be hired with some great famous touring opera company so trust me, she will be just fine.
BTW, did you all see the fine print at the end of the show? The one million dollar prize is to be paid out over the course of 40 Years??!! Not so life changing after all is it? I wish the best to skinner and all the other finalists....they all deserve to make a living with their Amazing talents!!!

has america gone nuts??? to choose a country hillbilly who cant even sing over a wonderful voice like barbara padilla? Is all of america tone deaf? unbelievable!!!! It must be fixed!!!

I've been in the music game for 20 years. Padilla won AGT with "Time to Say Good Bye" and the pure grace that she possesses. Unfortunately no one has given her or her voice proper recognition on many threads that I've reviewed. From a musical stand point let me make one thing clear (professional training or not) the notes that Padilla pushes out are done by moving large amounts of air, most of you can't do that. Neither can I, however; with that being said, even if she does or does not have professional training, the show is about entertainment, she delivers. The show is about Vegas, she delivers. By no means is she too classy for Vegas, as a point of fact and in my humble opinion she is well suited for Vegas. Opera has roots in Vegas. Saying she's too classy for Vegas is like saying the Rat Pack would have been too classy to come to a country western bar. Ladies and gents, it's about entertainment, talent, and Vegas. On all 3 fronts Padilla delivers, and she has since her audition. She's a shoe in for this competition. If she doesn't win, I will be on very shocked individual. We shall see, and for the haters... if you could sing half as well as Padilla does, you'd be on AGT and not bashing her with your thoughts derived from unskilled ears.

Realizing "reality" is not objective ... the TT's have a great if cheesy future... in Branson. GL is Vegas material, nightclub humor, not a headliner. BP is too classy for Vegas, would make an interesting duo with Paul Potts (the operatic Sonny & Cher?). Now... LB "The New Barry White" is all that and more. LOVE that guy's voice. Does need to sex it up though. ... why is KS the apparent judge's favorite (okay, BP is too but...? He might make a good Branson act, but his songs have lacked the emotion of the first audition . (requisite I don't really like twangy country) ... oh well. Standing O? Whatever. It's "reality TV" Baby. VoG are way too wholesome for Vegas... and F5 are another Branson act. RP are an off-strip Vegas act but too derivative. Nobody else really hits me. (and this is definitely a "guilty pleasure" show for me.)

Grandma Lee isn't really that funny. I think people like her just because of her age. Over rated! Barbara Padilla is my pick for this year. She's sweet, charming, modest, and one heck of a singer! Congrats getting this far, well deserved.

Novel idea: Pair Padilla and Beamann as Tosca and Scarpia (would require a bit of a stretch and learning new music) but think the 2 would be fantastic together. Then you could add one of the Texas Tenors as Cavaradossi.
