As much as I love the Hitchcock presents shows, I notice some are missing as well as later seasons, and I for one am awaiting season 7 so we may peruse the greatness of the episode " Man from the South" with Steve McQueen and Peter Lorre. (some of you may have heard this episode referred to as The Man from Rio in the movie Four Rooms. Tis my favorite of the Hitchcock shows, please please please , give us later seasons soon! Otherwise keep up the great work. Hulu has replaced what little broadcast TV I used to watch.

I was thrilled to see this series return. Hitchcock is the best! The plots and acting are superb.
Watching episode 7- season 1 with Joseph Cotton, brought back the terrifying feeling I had as a kid. That episode stayed with me for quite awhile. Watch it! I can't wait to watch all of them.
Remember 'Thriller Theater?' That program was pretty good too. Maybe Hulu will add that series.

I guess it leaves an impression on everyone! My guess is it is a later season, like someone said, or there are royalty issues b/c the story is actually original to Roald Dahl. IIRC, he adapted himself for this episode (?).

Okay, the next paragraph could have a spoiler I suppose:
In my family, when you get huffy over something, you raise your hand with an invisible menacing club and say, "Leg of laaamb!" (I know they don't say that in the episode--it's just something we started). They must have shown this on Nick at Night because I am under 30 and have seen several.

Lamb to the Slaughter -

This was one of my favorite short stories that I remember reading in high school. I have always wanted to see this episode and now I feel totally jilted!

Alfred Hitchcock Presents has rightly become a TV classic. Its masterful use of suspense and exploration of the dark side of humanity are miles ahead of most of the television programs produced today.
