Disgruntled "divine interveners" foster a romance between a "dreamer" who has just lost everything and his kidnap victim, a sardonic rich woman who loathes her ruthless father.

I'd give it 3.5 stars, because it was entertaining, and that's what a movie is supposed to be. This is not one of the greatest--you may forget it soon after you see it (and may not recall its title ever).
The plot has some twists and turns (some predictable, some not), and I don't think it tries to make a greater point like so many other pretenders that fail out there.
Good actors and good acting, nice direction too, and this makes me to recommend this flick. If for nothing else, watch this as something different than the ordinary.
Quirky [to be sure], but tremendously original now and when I first veiwed it. I'm not certain what the most recent veiwers consider a 'good' show, but there are meds that help if you can't keep ['it' (err...um)] your 'focus' up for longer than 10 minutes [look into that].
On first viewing, I would have rated the movie 5 stars. If five stars implies 'perfection', "A Life Less Ordinary", the movie doesn't deserve the score [for script, acting, and/or directing, but I regret a 'four' confers only a "Liked it" association.
I had no difficulty following the movie, and my inability to understand why someone might have difficulty w/that disturbs me...there were no time distortions [as in Pulp Fiction (which I also loved, but understand may demand something of a 'reader' capacity to follow without some effort].
I enjoyed each actor's performance(s), but Ms. Diaz's contribution was such that I searched for other projects I might/did miss origionally.
